Cleaning a sofa at home doesn’t take long, but the result depends a lot on preparation. A few simple steps help us work faster and help your sofa dry without marks.
The day before
- Clear the sofa. Remove cushions, throws, toys and anything stored in the bedding drawer.
- Vacuum if you have time. It’s optional, but it helps to get crumbs and hair out of the folds in advance.
- Find the label. The upholstery label often lists the fabric and the cleaning method it tolerates. Show it to us.
- Remember what the stains are. Coffee, wine, make-up, ink: different stains need different treatment.
What to tell us when you book
To give you an exact figure straight away, let us know:
- how many seats the sofa has, or whether it’s a corner sofa;
- whether there are armchairs or upholstered chairs worth cleaning too;
- whether a cat or a dog lives with you, since pet hair removal is priced separately;
- the upholstery type: woven fabric, velour, faux suede, microfibre.
How the cleaning works
We work in your home with professional Kärcher equipment. First we remove dry dust and hair, then we treat the stains, and then the cleaning solution goes deep into the fabric and is extracted straight away together with the dirt. That is why the sofa never gets soaked through and dries faster than after hand cleaning.
What the price is made of:
- standard sofa: 4,000 ֏ per seat;
- corner sofa: from 14,000 ֏;
- armchair: 4,000 ֏;
- upholstered chair: 1,200 ֏, stool: 800 ֏;
- pet hair removal: plus 15% on the furniture total.
After the cleaning
- Air the room. Open the windows or switch on ventilation so the fabric dries faster.
- Don’t sit on it while it’s damp. It usually takes a few hours, depending on the fabric.
- Don’t use a hair dryer or a heater. Sudden heat can leave water marks and damage the pile.
- Hold off on throws and cushions. Put them back once the upholstery is completely dry.
What else to clean in the same visit
If we are coming anyway, it makes sense to clean everything at once. A single mattress costs 7,000 ֏, a double one 11,000 ֏, both cleaned on both sides.
